Cities are growing and green areas inside and outside cities are being absorbed. This in turn leads to an increase of heat in the cities. There are plenty of vertical surfaces and using these surfaces for green facades aids in keeping the temperature in the city down, and also to distribute the rainwater management in the event of a heavy rainfall.

Our patent pending process greatly reduces the use of cement for making concrete panels. Our flat panels use about 80% less concrete compared with solid concrete panels of the same strength, due to the 3D-structure of the material. This in turn generates a huge saving in C0 2 emissions.

This is the simplest and most cost-effective way to create a concrete filter.

Our panels act as filters for light, air, sound, water and plants. Air pollutants such as NOx gases are filtered by our panels and the plants themselves are good environmental fighters while a species richness creates a basis for biodiversity.

All concrete can break down harmful Nitrogen Oxides by addition of Titanium Dioxide. Butong is, thanks to its large structural area, approximately three times as efficient in this catalytic process compared with flat panels.
